Highsted
House

Designed for a growing family within a new Christchurch subdivision, this two- story house was carefully planned to allocate the ground floor exclusively for entertainment purposes, while the first floor was designated for the children's bedrooms.

Upon arriving at the property, visitors are guided from the driveway into the house, where they are greeted by a spacious double-height area that serves as a backdrop for access to the first floor via a prominent staircase and a distinctive feature air bridge.

To make the most of the long summer evenings, when barbecues are the preferred cooking method, the clients desired an outdoor entertainment area directly connected to their expansive kitchen.

The house maximizes its ample floor space by incorporating a separate private media room, distinct from the primary open kitchen, dining, and living areas.
